Yesterday was measurement day for me and I was happy with my results! In the last 6 weeks, I lost over 6.5 inches and a little over 2 pounds. My exercise regimen involved Ten Minute Trainer (TMT by BeachBody) and additional cardio work on the treadmill. I utilized my treadmill 3 times per week and averaged 3-6 miles per cardio session. At times, I walked on an incline of 7.5% - 9.0%. The incline boosted my caloric burn by almost 45%!
Due to my positive results with this rotation, I started my second rotation with TMT and treadmill/cardio work on December 29th. If you care to join me, please click on my photo to the right (send me an email!).
With Best Regards,

Happy New Year!
The Christmas rush is now behind us and it is getting close to New Year's Eve celebrations. Most people make resolutions to become more fit, to eat healthier, and so on. As you make your New Year's resolutions, make sure to set realistic goals that are attainable. Don't set goals that are open-ended, such as "I am going to get healthy." Set specific goals like "I am going to drink 64 oz. of water everyday" or I will exercise 4 times/week for 30 minutes each session." Hold yourself accountable. Follow through on your goals. Remember - you are worth every minute you spend on yourself!!!!!

Power Outage!
Wow! What an eventful 36 hours it has been for my household. Yesterday mid-morning, we lost power and just came back on a few hours ago. It was so cold in our house, we could see our breath! UGH! We are fortunate, though. Many people around us had damage to their homes due to fallen trees and bent electrical wires. Unfortunately, we lost all our food in the refrigerator and freezer, but it can all be replaced. It will take me a couple of days to get caught back up on chores, grocery shopping, and getting myself back into my regular routine.
Have a wonderful weekend!

One Week Until Christmas!
I cannot believe it is only one week until Christmas! Time has really gone by fast! This is truly my most favorite time of the year and I will be saddened to see it pass by. I love spending time with friends and family - spending more time together than we normally can throughout the rest of the year.
I am now looking back and reflecting on the past year with lots of happy memories. I have much to be thankful for. I have a wonderful family who is happy and healthy. I had an awesome vacation back in July that is still fresh in my memory - I can still smell the ocean water! My hubby and I purchased a new vehicle back in October, and we adopted a cat from a shelter around that same time. I was able to spend each and every morning with my kids and was able to drive them to school everyday vs. sending them on the bus. I was able to attend one of my son's field trips and was also able to assist in extracurricular events at school with both of my kiddies. I cherish each and every moment I can spend with my kids. Some of these events may seem trivial to some people - but they are priceless to me.
I am looking forward to 2009 and am hoping it is a year filled with more happy memories of times spent with my family.
Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday!!
Happy Friday! What does it mean to you? Today can be your start of a new life to better health and fitness. Why wait until the New Year to do something wonderful for yourself? Take control of your life!
Begin your day by setting some small, achievable goals. Maybe it's to write out your Christmas cards, make your bed, or clean your house. Whatever it is, accomplish those goals. Each day, make your goals more challenging. Over time, you will be achieving more than you ever imagined!
